Official Pony Youth Baseball - PONY is an acronym for Protect Our Nation's Youth. The concept for the name originally came from boys at the local YMCA in Washington, Pennsylvania and stood for "Protect Our Neighborhood Youth," but when PONY became an international program in the early 1950's "Neighborhood" was switched to "Nation's."
This site gives you a real good feel of how baseball is supposed to be played. A great organization that caters to youth baseball teams from all over the world. They hold 12 weeks of tournament play a year, each week has 64 12/U teams participating, with the top teams each week returning for a Championship tourney the last week of the event. The first week of tournament play is reserved for 10/U teams only. There is also a Youth Baseball Hall Of Fame on the premises, once you have participated in this tournament, you are automatically inducted into this elite HOF group, it also includes a very nice HOF class ring. This is an awesome event that should not be missed if your involved with a competitive youth baseball team.
